Aquamarine, vintage Czechoslovakian crystal, sterling
silver with sterling silver toggle clasp. This could
be a simple necklace to make. It is, in theory... One
could purchase a strand of aquamarine stones, figure
out a pleasant design and then string it, and done...
Not so fast, not so easy, especially when the creator
fusses about matching color of stones, size of stones,
and the myriad of other challenges that come with using
natural semi-precious material.
This particular necklace required my purchasing a
minimum of six strands of aquamarine stones and then
the usual hours of wrangling with the stones to find
the ones that complimented each other and during this
process, the contemplating of the design.
The result is an elegant necklace that can be worn over
a sweater or against bare skin, an elegant standout
without all the pomp...
